Mobal customers can now save up to 98% on cellular data roaming costs when traveling to Europe with new cellular European data packages.
We’ve been noticing an increase in the amount of customers who are looking to use cellular data on their phones and tablets when traveling internationally.
Because you are traveling, Mobal wants to eliminate the potential headaches and pain often associated with international data roaming, by reducing roaming costs by up to 98% in Europe.
So now you can look up maps, search for that fabulous restaurant your friends told you about, or keep your friends and family back home up to date with your travels without fearing your bill when you return.
How much can I save?
We see customers are apprehensive about using their phone’s data when traveling internationally, we’ve seen the stories in the press about travelers using their phone internationally and returning to high bills.
Mobal has created our data packages to help reduce this risk and make data more accessible in the UK and Europe. Customers purchasing a UK data package can save between 95 – 98% on our pay-per-kB rates, and customers can save up to 52% on our pay-per-kB rates in Europe.
These savings are even more valuable compared to the standard US carrier charge of between $15-20 per MB in the UK and Europe.
When can I get a Data package?
Our Cellular Data packages are available now, you simply need to select the relevant package for your needs and travel, contact the support team at datapackages@mobal.com and let them know the dates of your trip and we will call you back to complete the order.

what is a Data package?

can we use the data pkg for our own phones? our Mobal phones are basic call/text. we are going on a cruise for 12 days to Spain, France, Italy, Geece, Turkey. while in port we would like to catch up on our personal email, or upload pictures to Picasa for safe keeping. the ship’s packages per minute are hideously expensive and the services slow. we are bringing our own iPones and iPads. My husband may bring his PC laptop.

Hi Robert,
Yes the phone number you were assigned by Mobal is still yours. Just simply charge the phone and then it will be ready to go like the last time you used it. As you have the Samsung GT-E3210 you can use it in the US, so you could make a quick test call to check that everything is ok.
You do not need to contact Mobal unless you discover any further issues with the phone or service before you depart.
If you have any further questions, just let me know.
Thanks
Jared

Jared, can you tell me: I have a Samsung 3g mobal phone I purchased last year when I went to Ukraine. I haven’t used it since my return, but I am going back to Ukraine at the end of June until July 11, 2013. Does the phone number MOBAL assigned to me still belong to me and do I simply turn on the phone and begin to use it the same way I did last year? Does the billing still work the same way? Do I need to contact MOBAL before I leave for my trip and discuss any other issues? Please let me know ASAP. Thanks for your time.

I live in the USA, but have a Mobal iPhone to use when traveling overseas.
I usually take a spring trip and another in the fall.
If I buy a Mobal data package for the spring trip and do not use all the data purchased can I use up the data when I travel in the fall?
I have never used a smartphone for data so have no idea how much I will use. I would be using the phone for telephone calls and browsing the web for information about tourist attractions.
Jared
Hi Janet,
The data package is valid for the dates of your trip, so you would need to purchase one data package for your spring trip and another one for your fall trip.
We have our data usage calculator so that you can select an estimate of how many web pages you will be viewing on your trip and we will let you know the estimated data usage and the recommended package for your trip.
The calculator is available here
If you have any other questions, I’d be more than happy to help you.
Thanks
Jared
